Why is New York talent being picked clean by out-of-state preps?

Why are top NY upperclassmen talent leaving New York and what can New York High schools do to encourage talent to stay home?

Good question. I believe the hype for national exposure. Most of the time teams playing high school hoops are prep schools. If the parents feel they are in a nowhere area that adds to it. Think of all the kids last 4 years!

...but a few of the kids that are transferring already got maximum exposure and already have their choice as to which college the can attend. Then you have lower level kids that transfer out-of-state only to receive less exposure then if they stayed in NY.
