You must attend the Suffolk County Coaches Academy & SC PAL. The Academy is "sponsored" by the Suffolk County coaches association. In order to participate in the academy you must pony up $70.00 to get the opportunity to be a Suffolk County all-star.
This process is bush. The process clearly eliminates a large portion of the talent pool from having a chance to represent Suffolk County best by charging 70.00 (an exorbitant amount)for what is basically a tryout.

$70.00 bucks is not that bad, remember it is a two day event and if a kids high school coach works the camp that fee is cut in half.

My dismay has nothing to do with the camp. My objection is that in order to try out for the Suffolk all-star team YOU MUST attend this "sponsored" camp, which cost $70 dollars. The $70 fee effectively prohibits kids who cant afford to pay $70 from trying out for the Suffolk team. Tying this excessive fee to the tryout eviscerates the meaning of all-star .
The Suffolk County Basketball Coaches Association will gladly accept your check in return you get a chance represent Suffolk County. BS
