What's the news on Washington, in terms of college plans? Seems like he had a bunch of offers come through early on, but no recent news. I saw he was nominated for McD AA, but didn't make the regional game.

College??

He is going to a JUCO. It seems people are judging him based on where they thought he would end up when he was in the 9th or 10th grade playing AAU. Things change in a heartbeat but in 2 years things really change. Right now he looks like he should be playing football. Hes just too big physically to be a guard and he never worked on those guard skills and as big as he is, he is too small to play the 4 in most college conferences.

He has to lose a great deal of weight like the kid Nate Williams did from Manhattan High School. He has to work on a mid-range game and he has to work on guarding more agile players his same size.

He is a MOUNTAIN! There is no doubt he will be playing college basketball. It just won't be for some of the dream situations that he had in front of him 2 years ago. Its way too early to dismiss him as a school safety task force officer or a bouncer. If he wants to play and if he can handle being away from home he will be fine. At minimum, he heads over to Queensborough with Holford and then to a local D1 in NYC in 2 years.

What is kind of crazy is people overlook the job Coach Peaks did when Jordan went away. He has some fiesty guards. When Jordan came back that post game kind of slowed them down a little, and changed their game right before the playoffs.
