The Urologic Research Institute will sponsor the Cancer Research Classic (CRC) on January 1-2, 2010, at Wheeling Jesuit University’s Alma Grace McDonough Center in Wheeling, WV. Eight of the top ranked teams in the country and many future college and NBA stars will be featured at the event. This high school boys’ basketball tournament promotes men’s health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, erectile dysfunction, urinary disorders (BPH and overactive bladder), obesity, wellness, heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. Health care screenings will also be available and administered by physician residents. The proceeds of the CRC support our undergraduate cancer research and medical physics programs.

This year’s games are as follows:

Friday (Evening), January 1, 2010
7:00 p.m. - Paterson Catholic (Paterson, NJ) vs. Huntington Prep (Huntington, WV)
8:15 p.m. - Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) vs. Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV)

Saturday, January 2, 2010
12:30 p.m. - Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, PA) vs. Christ the King (Middle Village, NY)
2:05 p.m. - St. Joseph’s Prep (Philadelphia, PA) vs. St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH)
3:40 p.m. - Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA) vs. Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV)
5:15 p.m. - Rice (New York, NY) vs. Gonzaga (Washington, DC)
6:50 p.m. - St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) vs. St. Benedict’s Prep (Newark, NJ)

Game times are estimated. Games will begin approximately 20 minutes after completion of the prior game.

The daily admission fee is $4.00 for a student and $7.00 for an adult. If attending both days, the admission fee is ½ price on Saturday.
