The Nike Swoosh was rolling on all cylinders and NYCHoops.net was there to check out all the outdoor action at the Queens site.

The Queens site run by Johnnie Colson featured both 16U action. The first game we saw was between Joakim Noah's Team Noah verses Beacon 158. In a close game Beacon pulled out a 59-39 victory led by Trevor Stark from RFK with 18 points. Ryan Outar from Cardozo ked Team Noah with 22 points.

The second matchup was between catholic schools as the Rising Stars from Long Island and the Knights from Queens. Conti, who attends Holy Cross, was the floor general for the Rising Stars initiating good ball movement. It would, however, be the offensive spark from Syosset HS's Max Quinn (16pts) that would lead the Risng Stars to a 39-21 halftime lead.

While Marcus Hooper (8pts), from Holy Cross was somewhat effective for the Knights, scoring sporatically from the perimeter, the Rising Stars stayed within their gameplan of set execution. Down 25 points to start the fourth, the Knights would not recover and the Rising Stars would prevail 65-49
